I was a little hesitant to work with a real estate agent when
I purchased my second home. We knew that we wanted to purchase
a new home from the builder and did not readily see the need
for an agent. I was disappointed with my real estate agent from
a well known real estate group the first time I purchased a home
in Colorado Springs and I did not especially want to have to
second guess the intentions of another agent when we knew what
we wanted. We heard great things about Mike and Micha, so we
sat down and spoke with them and explained to them what we were
looking for.
Mike was able to show us a bunch of different options
so that we were able to make an informed decision. He had pointed
out a lot of things we were unaware of and he had a great understanding
of the area and the reputations of all the builders. Where Mike
really separated himself and showed us his true passion for his
clients was when we were closing on our new home. We had everything
ready to move in immediately after our closing appointment. This
was during one of the blizzards in December of 2006. I was stuck
in Denver with all the roads closed due to the blizzard, but
the builder had assured us that we would be able to move in,
so we made arrangements to move in that day. My wife and her
family battled the blizzard to move out of our temporary residence
and rented and filled up the moving truck with all we owned.
As I was anxiously awaiting the call from my wife that the closing
went well, we were contacted by the builder’s mortgage
company and told are closing would have to be postponed until
further notice due to the weather. As my wife told me this, I
immediately called Mike. He knew all that we had been through
and said he would make it happen. We had already spoken personally
with the other parties involved and explained our predicament
and did not see how anyone was going to change their stance,
especially with the weather being so bad. The next thing we now,
Mike called and said we were back on. He went out and found chains
for his SUV and battled the blizzard to pick up each individual
person from their homes and bring them to the closing.
I was
truly impressed with his passion and everything he did for us.
Micha was also a great resource on the mortgage side. Even though
we went through the builder’s mortgage company for all
the incentives, Micha was invaluable to us for getting the best
rate and keeping us sane.
